Welcome to the home of the Rivers Performance Rating. For a couple years now, I had wanted to try my hand at a college football rating system, having been intrigued by many of the systems out there. Starting in 2021, I will begin the first official rating for the 2021 season and onward in following seasons. In addition, I am also in the process of doing retroactive rankings as well, with the intention of rating all the way back to the beginning of the AP Poll era.

In addition to the ratings, I hope to add some bonus content related to past national title arguments and the College Football Belt as well when time will permit me to do so. I do ask for patience as I roll items out, as I maintain a fairly busy life outside of this project. I hope y’all enjoy the site and find it to be a enjoyable stop. Top 10 will be posted on Reddit’s CFB Analysis subreddit and on Twitter.

Team records and game results have been gathered from James Howell’s collection of historical game results, Sports-Reference.com’s college football page, team media guides, team pages on Wikipedia, and from archived versions of College Football Data Warehouse. Special thanks to James Howell and Soren Sorensen, who were kind enough to respond to questions I had in the beginning stages of this project. If you have any concerns or come across any potential errors, feel free to contact me.
