2011
Louisiana State finished atop the base RPR rating by virtue of tying for best Win % and the best SOS for 2011. However, rival Alabama fell within the CCT cutoff and definitely warranted consideration. The Crimson Tide had the highest Score Ratio of any team and had an edge in head-to-head competition (both teams split their meetings; the Tide would have the advantage in scoring margin by virtue of the 21-0 victory in the BCS Championship Game). So while some may not like my reasoning based strictly on the numbers, Alabama warranted being co-champion with LSU for the season.
